As part of the efforts being made to tackle violent crime in South Yorkshire, the recently-established Violence Reduction Unit has made money available for organisation to apply for grants of between £5,000 and £20,000.

The funding has been set aside for projects that will assist in reducing violent crime in the region and support projects that will prevent people getting involved in crime in the first place.

Funding is available to organisations who can demonstrate their commitment and support, working on:

  • primary prevention – stopping violence before it begins,
  • secondary prevention – halting the progression of violence as early as possible and
  • tertiary prevention – providing a way out for people with established violent behaviour

If you wish to apply please complete the funding proposal form provided and return it via email to:

grants@southyorkshire-pcc.gov.uk

The application window will close at midday on Thursday, 31st October 2019. Successful applicants will be contacted in mid-November.
